Identification of Additives

Identification of Additives

(OP)
Hi all

I have a part of PA66 & I want to know what are the additives used in it, if any. Is it possible?
Can anybody suggest some testing lab in India which can give complete details of the additives sample?

Best Regards

It is possible. The only place I know of that specializes in that is in the US (www.stabilization-technologies.com).

They would probably extract all the additives, separate them and identify by HPLC, GC-MS and other techniques.

Thanks for that link, I'll try them the next time I have a need. I've been pretty disappointed with the results received from the typical lab.

RE: Identification of Additives

What type of additives do you anticipate.

What type of use and in what environment will the part be used. The current additive package that you may be attempting to copy may not be optimum.
