Catia V5R20 - COMPONENTS MANAGEMENT

Catia V5R20 - COMPONENTS MANAGEMENT

(OP)
Good morning,
I have a Pipe Assembly on which I placed same part (TIE NYLON STRAP, in yellow) in three different positions.
The upper two ties enclose same circumference value, but the third one (placed by PT V7) has to accommodate (due to the position/geometry of the smaller pipe) a slightly different circumference (compared with the other two).
The engineer I work with says that the smaller Pipe is flexible (plastic/rubber (in real life, the TIE NYLON STRAP would bring the smaller Pipe close to the larger Pipe, so the enclose circumference would match the other two).
What should I do?
The picture shows that the tie does not fully enclose the smaller pipe........!
What is your suggestion?

Thanks

RE: Catia V5R20 - COMPONENTS MANAGEMENT

Hi,

I just saw this thread...in other companies these are considered to be flexible parts (the tie).

What you can do is to create for example a part with number TIE-FLX01 and in part properties you can write in one of the fields the number of the original TIE part for reference (or the standard number).

In this way you will know which is the reference part and you will avoid any conflicts.

Fernando
