recommended materials for a component part
recommended materials for a component part

Attached are two drawings . . . one shows the dimensions of a " frame " piece the other shows what the padding looks
like that will fitup under the frame. My question is rather than using aluminum for this frame, what would be the best
plastic or composite to use ? I am looking for extreme strength, lowest cost per piece, and flexibility to have different colors.
The thickness of the frame should be no more than 1/4" to 5/16" the width of the frame will be 3" and you can see the angles that it will need to be bent/shaped to. this piece hapens to have (3) 5 inch sections and their will be another
piece that will have (3) 7 inch sections with similar angles.
look forward to hearing some opinions.

Engineers design with specifications, not superlatives. A toothpick has extreme strength compared to a wet noodle.
