ASME SA-788 S20 lists two recommended UT acceptance levels (BR and DA) for forgings. Can someone help me find what these designations mean and where they come from?

RE: UT acceptance level

I just reviewed SA 788. The above terms are defined;

BR - back reflection method for striaght beam testing

DA - Distance amplitude

The above UT methods are discussed in SA 388.
