User Difined diameter symbol in deafting standard

User Difined diameter symbol in deafting standard

I am using NX 7.5 I want a user difined diameter symbol in our company's drafting standard but there is appears to not be an option for this in customer defaults or drafting standard. There is the option in drafting standards once inside the drawing file, but this does not seem to be the best way since you have to change it everytime.

Thanks in advance.

RE: User Difined diameter symbol in deafting standard

If you wish to replace ALL instances of the 'Dia Symbol' you could simply modify the NX font 'Blockfont' as that's where these various symbols are derived from:

John,

I am familiar with user defined fonts, but I have never edited a default font. Can you provide a bit more guidance? I assume I will also need to then have a variable in the ugii_env that points a network location for the now edited block font.

Go to the NX Help files and search on 'character fonts'. You will find information about creating customized fonts.
