Alias Fit curve command equivalent in NX 8.5

(OP)
Just a quick question is there any command in NX 8.5 that would be equivalent to the fit curve command in Alias.Used to build a curve usually on a trimmed edge where you want control over the parimterization
and the deviation in order to build more surfaces from?

Thanks, Buddy

RE: Alias Fit curve command equivalent in NX 8.5

The Fit Spline can fit a new curve on top of/to an existing curve. ( With control over degree, segmentation and deviation reporting)
I have not succeeded in doing it on an edge directly.

Tomas

Yes, you will need to first use...

Insert -> Associative Copy -> Extract Geometry...

...to 'extract' a 'Composite Curve' of the body's edge, which can then be referenced when creating a 'Fit Curve'.
