NX8 Part to Parasolid

NX8 Part to Parasolid

NX8 Part to Parasolid

(OP)
Is this functionality included in the base NX8 Llicense? I need to export some NX8 parts and assemblies out into
Parasolid files. When I go to Files --> Export --> Parasolid, a little box pops up to give the file a name, I select the data
and hit OK, the little box disappears and nothing happens. What step am I missing?

i shoudld note that this installation has no acces to the Internet and the Help files that came with this license are really crap.

RE: NX8 Part to Parasolid

File -> Export -> Parasolid... then ignore the box that pops up unless you need to specify an earlier parasolid version (for exporting to an earlier version of NX); select the body(ies) that you want to export and press OK. Now a file dialog box will pop up, this is where you specify the file name and save location. Press OK.

The Name input on the first pop up box allows you to select an entity by name, so if you had a solid body and gave it a name of MYPART, you could type in MYPART to the first box to select the solid body. If you have not named anything in your file, use a normal selection method (single pick, window, etc) to specify the objects you want to export.
