suggest bolt material to fasten vessel bracket-platform

(OP)
Vessel mdmt -45 degree C. Shell material is A516 Gr.60. Its a LTCS material. Does the bolt material is decided by the vessel service. SHould the bolt material shal also be LTCS like A 320 L7M..otherwise can I use A307 Gr.B or A325?? Please suggest

RE: suggest bolt material to fasten vessel bracket-platform

If the bolts will experience extreme cold when vessel is at MDMT, then I suggest that you use low temp bolts.

RE: suggest bolt material to fasten vessel bracket-platform

The bolts will experience very cold temperature, perhaps a little less (warmer) than -45 C. Unless you can predict accurately what's the lowest temperature, you'd better assume -45 C. Definitely not 307-B.
