Job market in UK for Structural Engineers (consultancy)

(OP)
Hi All, I really need your help.

I am Structural Engineer with 8 years experience (Non chartered) as consulting engineer. I am currently based in Dublin.
I am thinking of emigrating as there is very few opportunities in Ireland to move up in my career.
The construction sector in Ireland is not going to improve for at least 10 years.
So I am thinking of moving to UK and wondering what the job market is like for Structural Engineers in the UK and what is the state of the construction sector in the UK now and into near future.

Thanks for your help
