The wizard was interupted before Solid Edge ST5 could be completely installed

Hi All,

I am trying to install Solid Edge ST5 on my computer but repeatedly receive the follow error:

"The wizard was interupted before Solid Edge ST5 could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again."

I have tried to re-run the setup a number of times, but no luck. Any ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Dave

RE: The wizard was interupted before Solid Edge ST5 could be completely installed

You must have User Access Control (UAC) disabled before attempting to install Solid Edge. Then when you get ready to install select the install executable and right-click -> Run as Administrator. If the issue continues then it may be possible that your install media is corrupt, in which case download the install media again and retry.

Thanks Dave. I have already tried both these with no luck.

I think what's happened is that there is a partially installed copy of SE on my computer which is causing trouble. I will try a system restore and see if that does the job. Any other ideas would also be welcome!
