Process question

Process question

(OP)
Hi!
1- If you are starting up a cold steam heater and you hear a noise, what would the action to be taken?
2- What is the difference between spectacle blind and sleep plate?

Greetings

RE: Process question

1. Look for the nearest exit and think about how long it would take you to get there with your eyes closed..

2. About $286.90 in carbon steel.....according to my local supplier :)

It isn't for school because you're right it seems to be. But what I wanted is to analyse this two questions.
The first question deals with writing operation procedure on process eqpt (underway), and I wanted to have someboby having long experience in oil and gas operational engineering to give me if there are some situations related to my question.
The second question is related to safety , How? in our plant, I was asked to not isolate by sleep plate near pump taken to be overhauled so only put spectacle blind. So far in our work permit it doesn't mind which one is preferally to be placed. Unless for high pressure, I've never seen isolating using sleep plate.
