Import to ANSYS APDL from solidworks issues
Import to ANSYS APDL from solidworks issues
(OP)
Hi all,
I'm new to these forums and really hoping someone can help me out. I'm trying to import a model created in solidworks to APDL, and I've tried literally everything I can think of. Here's the two main questions I'm looking for answers to:
I also tried using workbench, and found that I can open the solidworks file directly, and mesh through WB with no problems. But the code for my analysis is already done in APDL, and the guy who's doing that wants us to provide him with a .db file of the meshed component so he can analyze them in classic using his existing code.
Anyway, I'm quite stuck and any help would be greatly appreciated!!

- Is there a way to use the workbench mesher and export as a .db to open in classic?
- Is there a way to reflect volumes about planes other than the Cartesian planes in classic?
