What filler metal can be used for KHR 35THiSi? and what filler metal can be used for KHR32C?

RE: KHR 35THi Si & KHR32C

If you want help, you need to provide more information on the above materials. What are these designations?

RE: KHR 35THi Si & KHR32C

Ok, Thanks. Based on the literature you provided these are high temperature alloys which appear similar to Incoloy 800. So, I would recommend you visit the Special Metals alloy web site. The filler metal that would be compatible for Incoloy 800 is Inco-Weld A for the SMAW process. I would strongly recommend you qualify a weld procedure for the above base materials and nickel-base filler metals to ensure no weldability concerns.

RE: KHR 35THi Si & KHR32C

KHR35Th is essentially an HP Modified alloy, which is generally welded with matching Kubota filler metal. 32C is similar but for lower temperature applications. Both can also be welded with ERNiCrCoMo-1 filler metal. These cast alloys do not have ductility to pass the standard ASME IX bend tests. Bend test per 328.2.1 (b) of ASME B31.3. The Owner/Operator will normally provide guidance as to which filler metal should be used.

Call your vendor??

This is one where you need guidance from the OEM. It should be provided as a free service (especially considering the price of these tubes).
