Cyclic symmetry trouble

Cyclic symmetry trouble

(OP)
Hi,

I am modelling 1/4 of an alloy wheel in abaqus/CAE and i am using the cyclic symmetry option in the interactions. My issue is that it will allow me to select a master and slave surface but when i want to select the axis of rotation it will not allow me to select the datum axis i have created. Does anyone know how to create dummy nodes to allow to to select the start and end of an axis or how to create an axis which is selectable when using the cyclic symmetry interaction.
