Printing from a DOS program (Stop Laughing!)

Printing from a DOS program (Stop Laughing!)

Printing from a DOS program (Stop Laughing!)

(OP)
Hello,

We use a multitude of programs and among the best of them are several DOS design and analysis programs and utilities. Many of these DOS-based programs seem to print triple copies of the output on our LaserJet 4L printer.Everytime we want a 1 page results sheet we get 3. Its not program-specific but seems to affect just about all of them. Is there some setting buried it the printer setup or DOS window configuration that is causing this?

Thanks.

RE: Printing from a DOS program (Stop Laughing!)

Hello,
You can download the PrintNow program and choose the option
of Printing the Clipboard to check the printer behaviour.
You can also check the printer own settings versus the installed driver settings.I havd sometimes the unexpected message Memory Overflow in the printer display(HPLJ III)
and then some pages are printed, also under DOS.I must reset both the printer own settings as the driver settings to
eliminate it.
