Dear All,

Here I request your valuable help. My question is

"Why ER70S-G,used for GTAW, is less preferred (and sometimes treated banned) ?"

I am currently reviewing a proposed WPS with the same filler metal. Once again I request your guidance and support.

Thanking for your valuable time,

Harikrishnan K A

RE: ER70S-G

Because when the weld wire is specified with a G designator this means the properties of the wire are agreed upon between the Purchaser and the supplier.

RE: ER70S-G

Add to metengr: and the chemistry may or may not essentially match that of the base metals to be joined and will vary from supplier to supplier.
