600V oscilloscopes

hello we have an algient 3000 scope and it only takes 300V rms.
any suggestions for a 4 channel scope that I can use on 480V circuits.
Maybe something that can compute THD% and have current probes for displacement power factor and total power factor?

any suggestions are apprecaited.
thank you for your time and have a good day

RE: 600V oscilloscopes

I am using a Metrix OX7204-CSD. Four channels, 200 MHz BW, 600 V Cat III. Any math you can imagine (write your own equations), Giabytes of storage space, IP address, Contains recorder, multimeter and harmonics meter with THD and all that. All channels isolated from GND, Power and each other (three-port-insulation). Automatic measurements of everything you can think of.
I had a Fluke 190-204, but it didn't work well. And had very limited memory. Which it used to lose now and then, very frustrating. So I sent it back and am now living happily with this blue beauty. Yes, it is blue. And it is a beauty.

yes thanks I appreciate that the isolation from grnd and each other so I can do phase to neutral and then overlay phase to phase without the becoming a short.

RE: 600V oscilloscopes

I forgot to mention battery life. I get around seven hours out of a fully charged battery. I always carry a fully charged spare battery also, just in case.

RE: 600V oscilloscopes

Skogsgurra ,
We have the similar model of an oscilloscope with same color and feelings .We were little disappointed when we have worked in recorder mode because it can only work with a DC signals .Do you have any of the additional units e.g. measuring ampere pliers

RE: 600V oscilloscopes

Is there really a need for AC coupling in recorder mode? It will produce a zero trace with small deviations when the signal changes.

For current clamps, I use several different types. From heavy pre-historic ones to Fluke and Chauvin&Arnoux lighter ones. I also use several budget clamps, like APPA, which are OK if you need to record several DC currents and can't afford four of the more expensive types.

I am also waitng for delivery of a current clamp with Bluetooth. That will make recording directly to my laptop a reality also in noisy environments.
