codes to restart a simulation from previous results

(OP)
Dear all,

I am starting on abaqus and this question can seem obvious but I was wondering if It's possible to start a calculation from previous results on ABAQUS. By the way, I am trying to simulate the deformation of a pipe under several pressure and temperature profiles, as I am not sure of all the profiles, I will be glad to have the possibility to not re-launch all my simulation each time.

I am available for any more further informations.

thanks in advance

RE: codes to restart a simulation from previous results

*restart is the keyword, check the manual:
“Restarting an analysis,” Section 9.1.1 of the Abaqus Analysis User's Manual

RE: codes to restart a simulation from previous results

If you're looking a different pressure and temperature profiles after some initial pre-load, you can run the analysis in two steps, with different load cases in the second step. The has the advantage of using multiple right hand sides for a single left hand (stiffness etc..) matrix. For linear analyses, this will save you a lot of calculation time.
