Strength of sheet piles acting as a shear wall

Strength of sheet piles acting as a shear wall

(OP)
I am designing a structure with 16 foot high sheet pile walls on three sides and a concrete/steel pan deck diaphragm closing the top. Is there a reference with values one could use to estimate the strength of the walls as shear walls, acting to resist lateral loads in the plane of the wall? Preferably without having to weld any interlocks.

RE: Strength of sheet piles acting as a shear wall

Mr Slater I just emailed you more detailed background....But if you definitely wanted to ensure that the Shear is transferred
I would recommend use of welds...

RE: Strength of sheet piles acting as a shear wall

Short of stitch welding the pieces together I don't see how the sheet piles could transfer the shear.
