Scale of drawing view in title block

Scale of drawing view in title block

(OP)
Hello NX users,

I'm new to NX and am setting up my own templates right now. So far I have managed to get a nice template with my own logo and some attributes for the drawing scale, units, paper size, sheet and revision. Everything works fine, except for the scale attribute that reflects the scale of the drawing itself and not the scale of the view in the drawing. Is there an attribute to display the scale of the view?

So far, I have found that there is little documentation on attribute expressions. Isn't there a list of attribute expressions available somewhere or a menu to insert these attributes?

Best regards!

Forgot to mention that the attributes I have used so far are copied and pasted from the original Siemens template....smile

So the scale of your drawing will look like this
<W@$SH_SHEET_SCALE_NUMERATOR>/<W@$SH_SHEET_SCALE_DENOMINATOR>
or
<W@$SH_SHEET_SCALE_NUMERATOR>:W@$SH_SHEET_SCALE_DENOMINATOR>

Thanks Jerry, that helped!

The odd thing is/was that when I inserted a view in let's say scale 1:20, the scale attribute in the title block would still say 1:1. Then, when I changed the sheet scale to the appropriate value (or any other), only then the scale attribute would display the scale correctly. Apparently it has to be triggered in this way?

RE: Scale of drawing view in title block

What you need to do is go into your Part Navigator and RMC (right mouse click) on the drawing sheet in the tree (expand the Drawing menu if you need to)
Then go into Edit Sheet and observe what the scale is in there. This is the scale that will show as your sheet scale, not necessarilty the scale of the views that are on the drawing.
