Use of .OBJ files in ADAMS

Use of .OBJ files in ADAMS

(OP)
Hi,
For some "sales" work I need to attach a shell to an ADAMS view model to make some pretty animations. The shell I have to use is an OBJ file, which has an associated MTL file. ( The MTL file includes the surface properties such as color.) When we import the OBJ file file to ADAMS, it comes in OK except that the shell parts assume the color of the ADAMS part it was attached to. We can recolor the shells after import, but as there are 63 parts to the shell, this is inconvenient.
Does anyone have any experience using OBJ files in ADAMS, and if so, is there a way to include the MTL data in the import ? ( In case it is of importance, the OBJ is being exported from Sketchup ).

Thanks.
