tool change

I have a cnc jig mill that requires manual tool changes. I would like to have a tool retract to its home postion turn of spindle, coolant ect. the same as getting ready
for a tool change but use the same tool right away and have it pick up same h comps, ect. the reason being a air index table is being used so the operator
has to rotate that manually as well. The only way i can force that is with a different tool number, thats not what I want, I want to keep the same tool in the spindle.

Thanks

RE: tool change

Why not use multiple tools with the same T number?

John,
I did do that, was thinking way to hard for a simple solution, I should have posted that.
There should be a way to force a retract to home pos though, and do what i was trying to do without multiple tools.

RE: tool change

Have you tried using the "Extra Tool Change" UDE?

You may need some changes to the post to either change the tool change code to a M00 or set up the Manual Tool Change event.

Try the Extra Tool Change and see what the post gives you.

Hi John,
I did try that also, didnt quite get what I was looking for, I did however get what I wanted
with multiple tools with thae same tool number.
This will suit me fine, I do not come acroos this situation enough to warant adjusting posts
for this purpose.

Thanks for your response
