auto ballooning

I have auto-ballooned a view. It only balooned 1 instance in cases where there are multiples. How do I balloon the missing items? I can manually balloon and enter the item number but I want the balloon to be linked.

RE: auto ballooning

Automatic ID balloons are assigned on a per-Callout basis, NOI per-Component. So if multiple components are assigned to a single Parts List callout (i.e. quantity greater than ONE) there will only be a single ID balloon created referencing one of that Component's occurrences. That being said, if you were to manually add an 'empty' (do NOT enter any text) ID balloon to any of the non-flagged occurrences and then selected the Parts List note, pressed MB3 and selected the 'Update Parts List' option, those newly created 'manual' ID balloons would automatically update to reflect the proper Callouts and would remain linked to the appropriate Parts List item as if they had been created during your initial Auto-Ballooning operation.

RE: auto ballooning

Select the partslist in the upper left corner, right click and select "Style", in the middle of the first tab there is a section "Reference Symbol text" which is set to "None" by default. Set to "Callout and it will add ballons to all instances.
Per default these added ballons will carry the text "(REF)" . -Can be changed / turned off in the same section in the dialog.

Ok thanks, it's functioning for me know although I have another problem now. I want to stack these new balloons horizontally and I don't seem to have that option with balloons created in this manner?...

RE: auto ballooning

That is a known issue and has been reported as a problem. If you would like to contact GTAC and express your desire that this issue be resolved ASAP, PLEASE do so!

RE: auto ballooning

Only autoballons can be grouped... Manual ballons will not respond to the group command.
