Would anyone suggest a good or proper way to dimension a series of sectioned views of a blade?

I'm going to assume GDT means Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing, but I'm going to have to sound ignorant and ask you what you mean by a GDT surface profile? Could you explain that a little more because my web searches about it didn't really clear up many of the questions I had.

I have a ANSI Y14.5M-1982 sitting on my desk, would you suggest I ask my boss to get a more updated one?
