CP Cathodic Protection on Elevated Temperature Storage Tanks

CP Cathodic Protection on Elevated Temperature Storage Tanks

(OP)
Hi All,

Does anyone have expierence with CP on elevated temperature stroage tanks (or on any tank). I am familiar with design for regular temp tanks but was not sure if there is something about elevated temperature that make it not work or some trick I need to know. I know for a regular storage tank to assume a current density of 10 mA/m2 and have found a reference that says to increase this for every 10degC above 30degC.... so for me at 160 degC 180 mA/m2????

I do plan to read API 651 in detail tomorrow but interested in any real life experience.
