how to display a load -displacement curve in abaqus

how to display a load -displacement curve in abaqus

(OP)
I build a simple tension model in abaqus using displacement load, how can I choose output parametre to
get the load across the section.

RE: how to display a load -displacement curve in abaqus

You can try loading the results in Viewer and defining a cut plane. From there you can request the resultant forces and moments on that plane.

RE: how to display a load -displacement curve in abaqus

define a node path through the section you wish, then create an XY data along that path choosing the reaction force as a field output. get a report of that and then sum them in an excel file to get the total force you applied as a displacement load.

To confirm that, you may apply the result in a new model data base using a pressure or concentrated load instead of displacement and check the stress distribution on the model which should be the same as before.

btw, you can easily draw a curve along that path using the desired field output by hitting on the plot button.
