Windows 7 and NX icons
Windows 7 and NX icons
(OP)
This is probably more of a Windows 7 question than an NX question, but I am going to spin it here and see what I get.
We went to Windows 7 within the last couple months.
The NX desktop and file directory icons are now bitmap images of the file contents, which to me are worthless. I liked when the NX symbol was shown for a NX file.
Is there a way in Windows 7 to make the NX file icon to look like what it did in Windows XP, with just the NX symbol?

RE: Windows 7 and NX icons
The only time that I get the bitmap images of the file contents as the icon is of my desktop.
The icons in the directory folders look the way that I like them, with the NX icon.
RE: Windows 7 and NX icons
Do you happen to know if NX was actually installed or if it's an image they placed on your HDD?
Win7 blows as far as icons and program associativity are concerned - as well as the search tool in Windows Explorer. I'm dreading what Win8 holds for us users.

to revert to the icons you need to do the following: Open a Windows Explorer window, click "Organize", then "Folder and search options". Select the "View" tab and in the list below find and tick the "Always show Icons not Thumbnails" box. That should take care of the problem.
