Combined Wall - Sheet Pile and CHS - Minimum Thickness of Sheet Pile?

Combined Wall - Sheet Pile and CHS - Minimum Thickness of Sheet Pile?

Combined Wall - Sheet Pile and CHS - Minimum Thickness of Sheet Pile?

(OP)
BS EN 1993-5:2007 Clause 5.5.2 (7) States:

For sheet piles used as secondary elements, further verification may be omitted if all the following conditions are met:
- wall thickness of the sheet piles: >or= 10mm;
- ...

For design of a harbour wall, does anyone know if this requires the designer to select a section with an uncorroded thickness >or= 10mm or whether the corroded section must be >or= 10mm. A reference for justification would be great.

Many Thanks!
