Quickest way to find right configuration

Quickest way to find right configuration

Quickest way to find right configuration

(OP)
Hi,

I'm new to this forum, so this subject may be already answered. Maybe I just didn't ask the right question.

My colleague designed a Catia part with guided parameters. He has a large design table.

How can he quickly find the right configuration from it? We had several ideas to do that.

Here is an example.
- parameter "a" has values i, j
- parameter "b", which depends on "a"
> if "a" = i, then "b" can have values t, u, v
> if "a" = j, then "b" can have values x, y, z
There are other parameters, but they have no meaning for this question.

1. Filter on design table: works fine, but you have to write it manually every time, since there is no option to save it. Or is there?

2. We've tried to set values manually, but in that case I can select non-existing combinations.

3. With a rule; the result was not satisfying, since parameter "b" became locked on a single value.
Is there a command to output list of values?

Many thanks in advance!
