the value of yield strength/design load is equal to the safety factor given. Is it safe or yield?

I need to consider the weight of the whole structure as well. If i use bigger dimension, it is of course more safer, but the weight will increase as well.

So, can the safety factor calculated equal to the safety factor given?

if you're saying that the applied stress*required safety factor = allowable stresses, then yes, you're ok ... bigger is "better" (stronger) but your structure is strong enough.

note that "allowable" can be different things in different places.
