Tanker Mooring Details

Tanker Mooring Details

Tanker Mooring Details

(OP)
1. I am interested in finding if there are international standards or
minimum requirements for
providing mooring arrangements in tankers (winches, bollards, mooring
ropes/wires, their capacities etc.) which are followed by the entire
shipping industry. (Something equivalent to OCIMF). I would be happy to
receive the sites where detailed info can be found.

2. Is there a standard rope / wire size adopted for a specific size of
a tanker? Where can I get such info?

I am evaluating the adequacy of mooring system of an open sea tanker
berth for different sizes of tankers

Thanks

RE: Tanker Mooring Details

I think you can see OCIMF's rules and regulation.Maybe can get help with it.
