NX7.5 How can I copy over my menu and icon customization over to new computer?

(OP)
I have a new computer and do not want to waste time setting up my icons, etc. I thought UG had a way of caring over my settings from older to newer versions. Should then be able to copy same files over to new computer. Anyone know file location, how to do, etc.

RE: NX7.5 How can I copy over my menu and icon customization over to new computer?

Actually if all that you're looking for is the menu and icon layout, go to...

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Unigraphics Solutions\<OLD VERSION OF NX>

...and copy the file named 'user.mtx' and replace the same-naed file at...

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Unigraphics Solutions\<NEW VERSION OF NX>.

I am on Windows 7 and on our system Appdata is a hidden directory, so you may have to unhide it to work with it.

To save a Role - Right-click in an open space on toolbar area, click customize, select Roles tab, click Create, select where you want to save the .mtx file to and name it, click OK, then select the Include All box in the Role Properties popup box, click Ok.

To Load a Role - same as above except pick Load instead of Create.
