Heater Cartridge Modeling

Heater Cartridge Modeling

Heater Cartridge Modeling

(OP)
I am modeling a heater platen for an assembly process. I am using several heater cartridges that will be inserted into the center of the platen. My question is pretty simple. I know what the wattage of the heater cores will be. How would I go about modeling the entire process so I can find out what the surface temperature would be? I am using ANSYS Workbench 14.0. The biggest issue I have so far is simply finding out what type of heat input to put in.

The cores will be 11" in length, .5" diameter and will be 2000 watts.
