Rule already exists - Error while opening part

Rule already exists - Error while opening part

Rule already exists - Error while opening part

(OP)
A problem discussed in a previous thread, thread561-241067: Could not open file because "attribute already exists" , is still a problem in NX 6.0.5.3.
I have a component that can't be opened as single part or accessed in an assembly.
If I try to open it as a single part the message:
"The following files could not be located causing this open to fail: myPart/A - Rule already exists."

The same message shows if I, in an assembly, tries to "Make Work Part" or "Make Displayed Part" of myPart/A.

I have an assembly with components referring back to myPart/A (also in the assembly) via interpart links and these components are stated as "Out of Date" in the assembly navigator. However a "Update Session" only gives me the message:
"Error recovery completed for the following error: Rule already exists."

I've tried to run "Part Cleanup" but it does not execute properly. Instead it just halts on the defective part, not solving the problem.

Any suggesions on how to address this problem?

Best regards
/Lars
