Floor Framing System

Floor Framing System

Floor Framing System

(OP)
Dear Eng-tippers,

I have a multi-storey office building and I am trying to hone down an appropriate floor system. Columns are 8m apart in the x-direction and 14m apart in the y-direction. I only have one row of this 8m x 14m bay, with a 2m cantilever parallel to the longer direction at each end. I would like to utilize hollow core slabs. I was thinking a heavy (but shallow, 750mm deep) truss spanning the long direction and hollow core slabs spanning the short direction, with wide flange beams spanning the shorter direction at column locations. I would rather not have a truss span 14m especially one that is as shallow as a 750mm deep (truss supplier confirmed that it can be done, however.) How can I frame this in other ways while still utilizing hollow core planks? Reducing the column spacing is not an option. The floor framing system will be exposed, so an arrangement semi-aesthetic would be great. The building will have a very eccentric core shear walls with braced frames at the other end of the building to reduce torsion. Any ideas/help is appreciated.

Thank you,
