PAUT VS RT COST

PAUT VS RT COST

PAUT VS RT COST

(OP)
Our subcontractors want use phase array in liue RT, we are wondering the impact cost at the project, and the benefits in early finish at the project.

In my opinion we just get improve in safety,

we are not working at night shift, so the impact for man power is not a concern.

Some body here have a study or idea in reference at it?

RE: PAUT VS RT COST

Phase array is faster and doesn't require exclusion zone. IMO better than RT when wall thickness is high.
Disadvantages - no physical record, dependent on operator, can be problematic on stainless.

RE: PAUT VS RT COST

If this is an unplanned and unscheduled change, then be aware of the following:

1. The end user may require qualification of the subcontractor. If they demand a 'full blown' qualification, then the premise that an early finish is a possibility will go out of the window.

and for pipelines, try this one:

2. Setting acceptance criteria
