Fire alarm monitoring equipment query

Fire alarm monitoring equipment query

Fire alarm monitoring equipment query

(OP)
Hello,

I wanted to inquire if the Digital Alarm Communicator Transmitter (DACT) equipment installation personnel provides the cable and wiring connection from the terminals on fire alarm control panel to the DACT equipment or does the Fire Alarm Control Panel installer provide the cable and wiring connection from the terminals on the fire alarm control panel for the DACT equipment specialist to then hook up the DACT equipment for monitoring purposes?

Thank you.

RE: Fire alarm monitoring equipment query

What does it say in the contract?

Generally fire alarm installers install fire alarms. Auxiliary signals are usually wired by third parties, in this country at least.

RE: Fire alarm monitoring equipment query

What Scotty said.
The contract may include providing conduits, wire and/or cables and possibly a cabinet to be installed by the contractor with the final connections completed by the DACT technicians.
