IMPACT TEST FOR PIPELINES

IMPACT TEST FOR PIPELINES

IMPACT TEST FOR PIPELINES

(OP)
Hi,

I have been tasked to check impact toughness requirements based on specified wall thickness values for piping classes which I have been proceeding smoothly based on B31.3.

However I am currently at a loss as what to do where the piping code B31.4/B31.8 is being referred to. These lines of material API 5L X65 are connected between the risers and the pig launchers/receivers. Can anyone please direct me to where in the pipeline codes refer to impact test requirements for these lines which see min temp -29 C (B31.4) and -46 C (B31.8)?
