Importing additional tributary to existing HEC-RAS channel system

(OP)
I'm trying to import a tributary to an exisiting line (HEC-RAS channel) but having problems marrying lines together. The line imports but is not connecting to the existing system merely sitting next to it or overlaying the line. Wondering if anybody has solved this problem. I have created a dummy reach and tried to connect but there is no snapping tool, that I know of, to actually connect the lines. Thanks -

RE: Importing additional tributary to existing HEC-RAS channel system

No, I've never heard of this happening. Is it functional and just ugly? If it isn't functional you just need to add a junction and check the boundary conditions.

RE: Importing additional tributary to existing HEC-RAS channel system

The import will not update the reach if the naming convetion of the reaches are different. I would try to ensure that the naming convention is the same and try to re-import. There is no snap tool in HEC-RAS but if you are editing the geometry of the reach by adding or moving points, you simply drag the point of the reach over top of one another and they should atuomatically create a junction. Hope this helps.
