sequenced based traffic control?

sequenced based traffic control?

(OP)
what is a sequenced based traffic control vs non sequence based. when is each used?

RE: sequenced based traffic control?

Synchronous flow control ought to minimize the idle time of vehicles and maximize the thruput.

Sequence-based traffic controls are too simplistic to achieve this. Sensor based triggers are essential to reduce latency , accidents and traffic flow.

I find it irritating how primitive our traffic management is in major cities like Toronto who now hold the record in North America for the worst traffic delays.

Counting how many cars are waiting and for how long at a red-light when no traffic is flowing on the green or yellow path next time.
