Dimensioning: Default control of secondary unit decimal places?

Dimensioning: Default control of secondary unit decimal places?

Dimensioning: Default control of secondary unit decimal places?

(OP)
Our customer mandates that we use dual-dimensioning: INCH[METRIC] and constantly jumping between 2 and 3 place dimensions requires a LOT of mouse clicks to update a dimension properly from 2 to 3 or vice-versa. I would LOVE to be able to utilize the EDIT DIMENSION box that pops up when you double-click a dimension, and utilize the decimal place button there. Unfortunately, this only controls the primary units. If you need to change the secondary units you have to further click into this box by selecting SETTINGS/DIMENSIONS and then set the decimal places. It's a shame it doesn't default to metric dimensions being one decimal place less than the inch counterpart, as is shown when you venture into the UNITS tab of the dimension settings. Is there any fix for this, or is it a somewhat careless oversight with no fix? Thanks for any help/comments!

I should mention that my current work-around is to right-click a dimension /edit/inherit properties. This is helpful if I already have a lot of dimensions on a sheet, but still cumbersome at best.

go to file/ultilities/customer defaults
drafting/annotation
see what you can change there.

Thanks Walter, I did check it out. Seems to only let specify your default decimal places. What I am refering to is some method that will apply a "dimension place" relationship between the primary and secondary units, so that the secondary [metric] dimension will always be 1 decimal place less than the primary unit, regardless of decimal places.
