HYSYS Simulation

(OP)
Recently, while doing simulation on hysys for a hydrocracker separation section, observed that feed stream composition (End Pont of ASTM D 2887) does not match end point in final product from recycle splitter bottoms (which is the heaviest product). i.e Feed End point is lower and post separation splitter bottoms end point is higher. Can anybody explain the reason behind this.
Technically, since there is no composition change in separaration process, end point in feed and product should be same.

Thanks in advance.

Aspen forum is best place for such questions.

RE: HYSYS Simulation

How much of a difference are you looking at? I 'think' the end point is defined as 99 or 99.5% so after you've removed a bunch of the product, the end point shift could be reflecting that. As suggested, I'd run it past Hysys technical support or your local support manager, my experience is that they've been quick to respond to questions.
