How to divide SIN curve into single parts

How to divide SIN curve into single parts

How to divide SIN curve into single parts

(OP)
Hello,
I have the sketch with parametrized curve(sinus function). Is it possible to approximate this curve by let's say 100 lines?
I want to divide(approximate) this curve into single lines(I don't want to make reference points and the sketch the lines because I belive there is fastest way to do that...;/ )

Thanks!

RE: How to divide SIN curve into single parts

Hello,

If I'm not mistaken it is impossible to do it automatically through the standard SolidWorks functionality. I have created a macro which allows to approximate any selected entity (all sketch segments except text (spline, line, parabola, ellipse, arc) and all types of edges). The 3D sketch with approximated lines is created. It is possible to control the tolerance by setting the TOLERANCE value in the macro.

Hope it helps.
