I have to design Profibus wiring for low voltage motors. What is the difference between hard wired motor control circuits and Profibus motor control circuits? Is there some document available (from any manufacturer) on the web about how to draw the basic Profibus wiring schematics? I just need a starting point. Thanks for help!

The basic difference is digital but this seems to be a very simplistic answer to what could be a complex question once you start to expand on your needs a little more.
I'm not sure what you are connecting your profibus network from or to but you are better off first looking at the profibus website to get an idea what it is about:

I assume you have some sort of device controlling the motor (VFD, starter, etc) to connect your profibus to and you will be required to provide both control and monitoring back to some higher level controller (PLC, scada, etc).
I could go on but you need to provide a bit more information first. Once you have this, you might be better posting in another forum. This one is for people who look at Amps and Volts, not bits and bytes.
