Hello,
As I set the units to Kgf-cm the default values of Mass and Weight for defining materials are not the same. I believe there should be same values respect to definition of Kgf ? as I know 1 kgf is the weight of a mass of 1 kg!!!

In ETABS that is not a problem. Just change the units to your preference BEFORE you go to the appropriate window to set values. Then change the units to other set of your preference. This can be done any number of times without problems.

1 kgf represents force and only force. (thus kgF).
ETABS internally calculates the equivalent consistent mass units considering the the given distance units as well. You should get the expected results (1 mass units=1 kg) if you use the kgf-m units. Remember that the distance units are needed to define the acceleration (m/sec2 is not the same to cm/sec2).

There is one thing. To obtain mass Kg you should divide Kgf by 9.8 m/sec2 (g).
