Blind flange with multiple fittings

Blind flange with multiple fittings

Blind flange with multiple fittings

(OP)
Hi All

What considerations must be taken into account in ASME VIII DIv. 1 regarding a blind flange with multiple openings? This is an appendix 2 blind flange by the way.
Is there anything that must be checked besides:
1) flange stress
2) rigidity
3) reinforcement of openings

Please advise

Michael

RE: Blind flange with multiple fittings

All the points you mentioned plus UG-39.

RE: Blind flange with multiple fittings

(OP)
Thanks gr2vessels. UG-39 is reinforcement of openings in flat heads which I mention. More specifically, I refer to MULTIPLE openings in close proximity. Inside each opening will be a threaded socket fitting. If no more checks are required, that is good, otherwise I just ask again about this situation for clarity.
Michael
