help on how to use Abaqus in compliant mechanisms optimization

help on how to use Abaqus in compliant mechanisms optimization

help on how to use Abaqus in compliant mechanisms optimization

(OP)
Hi, I'm trying to use the ATOM module in abaqus in modeling compliant mechanisms. But according to my objective function, I need to maximize the mutual potential strain energy which I can't seem to find.

has anyone done something similar on abaqus before?

thanks

RE: help on how to use Abaqus in compliant mechanisms optimization

hi
do you want optimization location(move) or strees?

when you want optimization of location for a mechanism you must be use computational softwer for example matlab or mathematica for optimized number
then modeling in abaqus and improvment geometry model for optimizing stress

yes I want the optimization of kinematic function. So it seems that it's not possible to do that in Abaqus.

Thanks for your replay
