Finding motor with two shaft ends and two flanges

Finding motor with two shaft ends and two flanges

Finding motor with two shaft ends and two flanges

(OP)
Hi ENG-TIPS

First post in here.

I have been googling all day to find an AC motor of the type that has two accessible shaft ends and also a flange in each end.
This motor may be fan cooled but i would imagine that it would be hard to fit a fan between the stator and flange.
Do anybody know if this type exists and what it might be called.

I found this motor which has two flanges but it has only one shaft end:

The specific motor build size should be app. Metric 71mm
And the speed should be 1300-1500 RPM

Hope to hear from somebody soon

Regards,
Morten Døssing Mortensen

Try a Baldor pedestal grinder/ buffer drive.

Somethink like that - however I am looking for a motor with flanges like the one on the picture. Standard flanges, but in both ends.

Are you looking to buy 1 of these or are you looking for production quantities. I would think you'll have a hard time finding the former but most manufacturers would probably be able to work with you to design the later.

our hottub has dual output shafts like that for two pumps; check hot tub motors

RE: Finding motor with two shaft ends and two flanges

How about buying two motors with double shafts, but one flange each, then disassembling them, and do a mix-and-match.
On second thought, the end bearings may not be the right size...
If you searched carefully through the Baldor catalogs you might come up lucky, though.

Is it an IM22** frame (IEC 34 or AS1359.107).

Just ask your supplier for this style of frame (and look up the standard to find the appropriate numbers for the asterisks) with all of the relevant other information.

Or this catalouge provides a summary (try IM 2202 as a start):
