Cumulative Dimensions ?
(OP)
Hello All,
I am currently trying to duplicate or at least come close as I can to duplicating the dimension style of a different CAD system. I'm running into a roadblock with the cumulative dimension function. The Zero line that Catia V5 shows isn't even close to what we are using now. I've attached an example of what our current practice is. Here's my question, how close can Catia get to this if not any closer than what I've already seen? Is the screenshot I've shown even an official standard or close to one? Any pointers I could definitely use because I'm tired of having to design parts in one system to detail them in another. It's getting cumbersome and harder to track.
Thank you all for looking and your help!

RE: Cumulative Dimensions ?
anyone even have any idea where I can get started to accomplish this? Or something close to it?
Right now I'm using Datum feature to mark my zero point and all looks good except that the datum feature can be dragged off of the center point of the line it creates and is not exact to the center of the line (I've attached a sample from catia showing this).
Thanks for looking!

RE: Cumulative Dimensions ?
If you will click on the line , you will see a yellow diamond and a black circle. You can drag the circle in which position you want. If you will right click on the diamond, you can Remove leader or change the shape. In same way you can try on the circle.

RE: Cumulative Dimensions ?
Did you end up with an acceptable solution to this question? I am struggling with the same issue. There must be a dozen different parameters that can be set to control the cumulative dimension style and most are set with integer values with no key provided as to what each value corresponds to. If anyone has a standard that even approximately mimics the image provided in the initial post could you please share the values from the standard? Thanks for any help.

RE: Cumulative Dimensions ?
Yes I did. I ended up going through Administration mode, and modifying the ANSI drafting standard to get what I wanted. However the zero still doesn't show up because of the ANSI standard so the acceptable workaround I am using is just a datum box with a 0 in it. Please see the attached image for an example of what Catia is putting out on my machine. It's not 100% of what I wanted, but from where I was until now it is much better! Good luck and let me know if there's any way I may be able to help.
