Lubrication Question

Lubrication Question

Lubrication Question

(OP)
Can anyone give me advice on where to find guidelines for the lubrication of bearings for rotary unions and or bearings on rolls and motors?

RE: Lubrication Question

Shigley's Mechanical Engineering Design texbook provides basic lubrication information. (Reference McGraw-Hill). Rabinowitz also has a text on lubrication from the point of view of friction and tribology. Several bearing manufacturers (such as Timken) have sites that allow for technical help with this question. The grease suppliers also support their products.

RE: Lubrication Question

There is a very good web site for lubrication reliability professional Lube-Tips. You may subscribe to their daily tips by sendinf e-mail to
join-lube-tips@laser.sparllist.com.   I found it very useful and they are issuing very good Tips on lubrication.
